The museum was founded by Ian Gregory in 2020 and contains his model collection which has been accumulated over many years, together with many other toys and models which have been donated to the museum or which are on loan.
The collection is housed in a beautifully converted chapel located in Chapel Street, Sidmouth in the heart of the shopping area and 50 yards from the beach.
Become a time traveller as you step back through the decades to see a variety of toys, games and models. Experience the nostalgia of times gone by and wonder at the ingenuity of play over the years. Pedal cars to die-cast cars, porcelain dolls to Sindy dolls, teddy bears to automatons all have a story to tell.
A visit to the museum is a perfect way to reconnect with your childhood. We are an ideal destination whatever the weather for all ages and we welcome individuals, families, schools, coach parties and groups. Well-behaved dogs are also welcome.
The museum is much loved by children too! In addition to our model railway, impressive Star Wars and Sylvanian Families displays we have fun quizzes and a hunt for Lego mini-figures around the museum to complete (with prizes of course!)
