The Sidmouth Toy and Model Museum, founded by Ian Gregory in 2020, features his extensive model collection that has been built over many years, along with numerous toys and models that have been donated or are on loan. This gem of a museum is located in a beautifully converted chapel on Chapel Street, right in the heart of Sidmouth's shopping area, just 50 yards from the beach.
Become a time traveller as you step back through the decades at the Sidmouth Toy Museum, where you can see a variety of toys, games, and models. Experience the nostalgia of times gone by and marvel at the ingenuity of play over the years. From pedal cars to die-cast cars, porcelain dolls to Sindy dolls, and teddy bears to automatons, each piece has its own story to tell.
A visit is a perfect way to reconnect with your childhood. Whether you're exploring east Devon with family or looking for fun Sidmouth activities, we are an ideal destination for all ages. We welcome individuals, families, schools, coach parties, and groups, and well-behaved dogs are also welcome.
The museum is especially loved by children! In addition to our model railway and impressive Star Wars and Sylvanian Families displays, we offer fun quizzes and a hunt for Lego mini-figures throughout the museum—complete the hunt to win prizes!
